The DA40 articulated hauler from Doosan has a completely new cab providing more space and improved visibility for the operator, “best in class” noise levels and a fully automatic climate-control system, according to the company.
For easier operation, Doosan has introduced new electronic systems and simplified fingertip controls with a digital display of all desired machine functions. The fully automatic eight-gear transmission and smooth Tiptronic gear-shifting (both automatic and manual gear functions are available) allow the operator to concentrate on working conditions.
For routine maintenance and service, the cab can be tilted backward to provide easy access to components. Easier service access and longer service intervals result in lower operating costs. A fully automatic central greasing system and rear view camera are standard.
“To reflect the complete integration of the Doosan Moxy ADT product line into the Doosan Heavy equipment offering, the new ADTs will no longer include Moxy branding,” said Aaron Kleingartner, Doosan marketing manager.
“The four new models will carry only the Doosan brand, rounding out a complete package of excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks for the construction equipment market.
“Doosan ADTs have permanent six-wheel drive for equal power distribution while the free-swinging rear tandem bogie offer excellent driving performance in difficult terrain,” Kleingartner said. “A unique articulation system with a forward mounted turning ring allows equal weight distribution even during maximum turning to ensure maximum traction. An independent front suspension is a unique feature of the Doosan ADT, which provides maximum ground contact and shock absorption. To meet the latest emissions regulations, the new ADTs will be equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.”
