Volvo X1 Prototype Hauler Wins Awards

The X1 prototype autonomous, battery-electric, load carrier from Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) won the International Quality Innovation Award and the Innovation of Innovations Award. In December, the HX1 was awarded the Swedish Institute for Quality’s (SIQ) Quality Innovation of the Year Award in the Potential Innovations category. On winning this accolade, it qualified to enter the international part of the competition along with approximately 100 other finalists.

Komatsu America Corp., introduced its new PC650LC-11 hydraulic excavator. With an operating weight between 140,456 lb. (63710 kg) and 145,284 lb. (65900 kg), the PC650LC-11 maintains the powerful productivity and transportability of the previous model, while improving fuel efficiency, cab design and serviceability.

John Deere Adds Foresight Intelligence for Dealer Support

John Deere is adding Foresight Intelligence to its stable of construction data solutions to increase dealer efficiencies and customer uptime. The collaboration utilizes Foresight’s Intelligent Alert Triage Center (IATC) and helps John Deere dealers and customers better manage daily machine alerts. IATC enables dealers to easily capture, consolidate and prioritize diagnostic trouble codes, oil sampling results, preventative maintenance alerts and more into one centralized and secure portal.

Volvo Expands Product Lineup with A45G Articulated Hauler

The latest edition to the Volvo G-Series is the A45G articulated hauler. “We have taken the industry’s best lineup of articulated haulers and made them better by increasing payload capacities and including a range of new features that make them even safer and more efficient than before,” said Eric Fatyol, GPE products manager, Volvo Construction Equipment. “The newest addition to the line – the A45G – holds an advantage in that it’s capable of 45-ton payloads, but is built upon a dimensionally smaller, lighter and more agile platform than other 45-ton trucks, making it more nimble, more off-road capable and more fuel efficient.”
