Caterpillar Offers Cat Payload

The latest technology addition from Caterpillar is Cat Payload. Introduced last year on the 336F L XE, the system calculates load weight as the operator swings the bucket toward the truck with no interruption in the loading cycle.

Komatsu Introduces New Off-Highway Trucks

Komatsu introduced the new HD325-8 and HD405-8 off-highway trucks. Equipped with an EPA Tier 4 Final certified engine, they feature increased horsepower and a new Komatsu Traction Control System (KTCS) to achieve improved productivity. Payload capacities are 40.3 U.S. (short)/36.5 metric tons and 44.1 U.S. (short)/40 metric tons, respectively. They replace the HD325-7 and HD405-7 models.

Cat Track Loader Offers 22 Percent Improvement in Fuel Economy

Greater productivity, improved implement and steering response, and up to 22 percent better fuel economy are at the top of a long list of improvements on the new Cat 953K Track Loader. The versatile new crawler loader moves up to 22 percent more material per unit of fuel and also offers updated cab and safety features.

John Deere Loads Up on Bucket Options; Offers New Warranty

Designed to enhance productivity and efficiency, John Deere is debuting its enhanced production series buckets for the 744K-II, 824K-II and 844K-III wheel loader models. The enhanced production buckets offer several new features, including an improved bucket profile, integrated narrow spill guards, bushed static bucket pin joints and optional wear plating.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Extends Free Use of Hi-Mate

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. announced it has extended the period during which owners of Hyundai wheel loaders and full-sized excavators may use its Hi-Mate remote-management system free of charge to five years from three. The extended Hi-Mate coverage applies retroactively to any qualifying Hyundai construction machine purchased since Jan. 1, 2017.
