The Raptor XL400 Cone Crusher from FLSmidth is a high-performing, cost-effective, versatile solution for aggregate operations in need of a stationary or portable wheel-mounted cone crusher, according to the company. An ideal solution as a secondary crusher following a jaw crusher, this model produces more usable and salable aggregate per ton processed – such as quality stone for asphalt chips, road base and railroad ballast, as well as for construction-related uses like foundations and concrete.

The XL400 Cone Crusher also accepts primary-crushed ore with greater flexibility, due to its large feed opening, high-pivot-point crushing action and wide crushing stroke. With a large head diameter of 52 in. (1.3 m), the XL400 Cone can accept feed that is up to 25 percent larger than can be accepted by a crusher with less throw or similar head diameter. All XL400 Cone Crushers feature one-piece cast steel mainframe, with a forged steel main shaft.
Automated features include advanced overload sensing technology that detects crushing force overload. A simple alarm is activated, or the system can be configured to automatically take corrective action. This same advanced automation system can be used to optimize crusher performance, with feed control, setting adjustment and monitoring of all critical lubrication and hydraulic parameters.
