Komatsu America Corp. introduced the PC390LC-10 hydraulic excavator. With a flywheel horsepower of 257 hp (192 kW), the PC390LC-10 is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D114E-5 engine and is EPA Tier 4 Interim and EU Stage 3B emissions certified.
“The PC390LC-10 is built on proven and innovative Komatsu technology to produce an environmentally-friendly excavator with increased power and decreased fuel consumption,” said Doug Morris, Komatsu America Corp., product manager, excavators. “As with all of our Tier 4 Interim machines, it also comes standard with Komatsu Care, our complimentary maintenance program that can ease the cost of buying or leasing a Tier 4 Interim machine, and increase residual values on lease returns as well as the price of used equipment sales.”
With an operating weight of 89,072 lbs. (40,402 kg), the PC390LC-10 features improved hydraulic efficiency, improved operator comfort, simplified maintenance to extend component life, and a large undercarriage design that significantly increases lift capacity, the company said. This integrated design uses a closed-enter load-sensing hydraulic system that has taken hydraulic efficiency to the next level using variable speed matching.
The PC390LC-10 is equipped with the latest Komtrax technology, which sends machine operating information to a secure website utilizing wireless technology. Every Komatsu Tier 4 Interim construction machine comes standard with Komatsu Care complimentary factory scheduled maintenance for 2,000 hours or the first three years, whichever is first. Komatsu Care also includes two complimentary Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter exchanges within the first
