Knife Riverís Cheyenne division was the successful bidder on four projects totaling slightly more than $12 million in new work for the Wyoming Department of Transportation and Laramie County.

Three of the four are WyDOT jobs, the earliest starting this fall to provide a blended salt and sand product for winter use. Two federal projects awarded through WyDOT involve resurfacing several miles of U.S. Highway 26 for approximately $4.3 million and Interstate 80 for nearly $5.5 million. Both jobs start this spring and will be finished in 2011.

ìKnife River is proud to continue its work for the Wyoming Department of Transportation,î said Cheyenne Division General Manager Joe Stephenson. ìMost of our work continues to be public work through the state and area counties. This work will keep many of our employees at work next season and is a strong boost for our backlog.î
