A recent survey of National Demolition Association member companies reveals that they are experiencing a slow improvement in demolition industry dynamics.
Forty-one percent reported seeing change in the volume of demolition project opportunities or jobs to bid in their market; approximately 25% said they had not, while 35% said they are still not sure. When asked if the federal governmentís stimulus program has had any effect on the market of demolition services in their area, 30% said it had, 44% said no, and 20% were unsure.
ìThese numbers are no surprise,î said National Demolition Association Executive Director Michael Taylor. ìSo much of our work flows from activity in the construction industry, and it takes a little more time for us to benefit from an upturn in that industry. Weíre optimistic that weíll steadily feel the improvement as the year progresses.î
