Aggregate Industries US Maryland Operations Honored

Aggregate Industries US (AIUS) operations in Maryland received recognition for its safety accomplishments at this year’s Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association (MTBMA) Safety Awards Banquet in Glen Burnie, Md. These awards are annually given to employees who, while working for Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) locations, promoted safety on their job sites and maintained zero accidents under their supervision throughout the previous year.

“AIUS, in our mid-Atlantic region, has participated in these safety awards since the first event four years ago, and we’ve received recognition for our continuous efforts at every banquet,” said Cedric Barthelemy, head of mid-Atlantic region for AIUS. “We are proud of our employees who won this year, and as a team we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety excellence on all of our sites.”

A total of 11 employees received awards during the banquet. These employees included six from AIUS mid-Atlantic, who received the Aggregates Safety Award, and five from AIUS mid-Atlantic Contracting, who received the Contractor Safety Award.
