Rock Products to Debut New Industry Conference

Rock Products is pleased to announce it will launch a new conference next year for the aggregates, cement and concrete industries. The Automation & Energy Conference (A+E) will take place November 19-21, 2013, at the prestigious Cobb Galleria in Atlanta. The event will be co-sponsored by The Georgia Construction Aggregates Association (GCAA), and sister publications Concrete Products and Cement Americas.

Automation, processing efficiency, energy and sustainability are playing increasingly critical roles in construction-materials production. A&E is a two-day event that will bring together construction-materials producers and industry manufacturers to share valuable information on the latest trends in materials processing, plant automation, energy management and sustainable production.

“Looking into the future, construction-materials producers will find themselves engaged more and more in how to use technology to both streamline operations for efficiency and generate maximum energy savings,” said Rock Products Editor Mark S. Kuhar. “A+E will be designed to focus specifically and in great depth on those critical areas, and to offer attendees realistic, implementable ideas that they can take back to their operations and begin to put into action immediately.”

John Cardosa, GCAA executive director, believes the show's focus is much-needed in the marketplace. "GCAA is pleased to co-sponsor an event that will provide tools to maximize the aggregates and concrete industry's profitable return to better times," Cardosa said. "Automation and optimum use of energy requirements are critical components of that profitability. We look forward to welcoming this event to Georgia."

Rock Products’ parent company Mining Media International owns and operates a number of successful shows including, C&D World, Coal Handling and Storage, Haulage and Loading and Longwall USA.

Interested parties are invited to submit a proposal to be part of the conference program.
