Superior Industries is celebrating the success of its largest ever employee appreciation event. More than 2,000 employees, including their spouses and other family members attended what the company calls its “Ribs ‘N Rides” employee-appreciation event. The free evening included a meal made up of company founder Neil Schmidgall’s seasoned beef ribs, cinnamon mini donuts for desert and private access to amusement rides at the local county fairgrounds in Morris, Minn.
“We are blessed with a growing group of very loyal, hard-working employees,” says Scott Arndt, Superior’s director or human resources. “The night gave us an opportunity to remind our workforce that we care for them, acknowledge their commitment to our core values and appreciate their extra hard work.”
During the last five years, acquisitions, new markets and dozens of successful new product launches have helped Superior’s labor force balloon to more than 1,000 full and part-time employees in eight states. The 40-year-old company says it is actively hiring new employees at many of its branches.
