Flexco Will Continue Mobile Showroom Program

Flexco will continue its Mobile Showroom Program in 2011, according to the company. The Mobile Showroom Program currently consists of four trailers that are touring North America showcasing the full line of belt conveyor products from Flexco.

Fenner Dunlop Americas Appoints Mark Hardwick Chief Operating Officer

Cassandra Pan, president of Fenner Dunlop Americas, announced the appointment of Mark Hardwick as chief operating officer. Hardwick will be based in Fenner Dunlop’s Pittsburgh, headquarters where he will oversee the sales, marketing, customer service, technical development and facility management of Fenner Dunlop’s full range of conveyor belting products, services, components, diagnostics and project management in North America.

NSSGA Announces Award Winners

The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of NSSGA's Safety, Environmental and Community Relations Excellence Awards. The awards program recognizes aggregates operations throughout the United States and Canada for their extraordinary commitment to safety, for their superior performance as environmental stewards and for their community involvement and support activities that have enhanced the image of the aggregates industry during 2009-2010.

Atlas Copco appointed Kiki Sample to the position of product manager – Blasthole Drills with Atlas Copco Construction and Mining.

In order to strengthen its  Down-The-Hole marketing efforts, Atlas Copco named Mike Millsaps area manager for the product line in North and South America. In a related move to put more focus on its large-hole applications, Barrow Turner has been named product manager for DTH-Large Hole.

Oldcastle sells Ivy Steel and Wire

Oldcastle Inc. has sold substantially all of the assets of its Ivy (Ivy) Steel and Wire business for a total consideration of $51 million to Insteel (Insteel) Industries, Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications.
