Designed with a more comfortable cab and Interim Tier 4-certifed (IT4) engines, the customer-inspired hydraulic excavators, 160G LC and 210G LC, build on John Deere’s G-Series class. Each of the excavators feature rugged, field-proven IT4/EU Stage IIIB John Deere PowerTech diesel engines, enabling operators to work anywhere jobs are available, including non-attainment areas.
The horsepower of these models are 121 hp (160G LC) and 159 hp (210G LC). The G-Series cab was redesigned to be more spacious with a larger entryway and extra legroom. Also, silicone-filled mounts effectively isolate operators from noise and vibration. The excavators come equipped with a Powerwise III hydraulic management system that yields pinpoint metering and smooth, low-effort control. Furthermore, three productivity modes (high-productivity, power, economy) allow an operator to choose the digging style that fits the task at hand. The hydraulically driven, highly efficient fan at the heart of the excavators’ cooling system also runs only as needed, reducing noise, fuel consumption and operating costs. The 160G LC and 210G LC are available with a variety of track widths, arm lengths, buckets and other options.
