Columbia Steel Debuts New Cone Mantle Design

A new, patented cone mantle design offers improved crusher output based on initial field trials, according to Columbia Steel Casting Co. Inc. By looking beyond the concept of simple gravity feeding, Columbia’s engineers have developed a unique mantle modification intended to direct feed more efficiently into a crushing chamber.

New Mack Engine Oil EOS-4.5 Extends Drain Intervals

Mack Trucks announced extended engine oil drain intervals for customers using its newly formulated Mack Engine Oil EOS-4.5. Depending on the application, oil drain intervals have been extended by up to 15,000 miles compared with previous formulations, helping reduce customer maintenance costs. Introduced as the factory fill in Mack’s 2017 engines, genuine Mack Engine Oil EOS-4.5 also extends drain intervals for all 2011 and newer Mack engines.

The user simply inserts a smartphone into the specially designed mount and attaches it to the equipment. The app then immediately measures vibratory amplitude, frequency, oscillating angle and operating speed, and enables the user to visualize the vibrating machine’s motion pattern.
