Doosan Excavator Features Improved Performance

31 Doosan 150The 184-hp Doosan DX255LC-5 crawler excavator has been added to its Tier 4-compliant lineup, featuring improved performance, operator-focused comfort, fuel economy and jobsite durability. The model replaces the interim Tier 4 (iT4) DX255LC-3.

New Volvo Excavator Features Responsive Operation

76 Volvo 150The 22-ton Volvo EC220E is fitted with a top-range Tier 4 Final Volvo D6 engine that meets strict emissions legislation across North America without compromising on power. The fully optimized hydraulics system and ECO mode deliver the precise amount of power required to complete the task in hand, while the auto engine shutdown feature helps further reduce fuel consumption and emissions by switching off after the excavator has been inactive for a pre-set amount of time.

Cat Hybrid Delivers Fuel-Efficient Production; High Tech

30 Cat 150The Cat 336F L XE Hybrid excavator was introduced to the trade press last month at the company’s Tinaja Hills proving grounds outside of Tucson, Ariz. It features an integrated design that conserves fuel, optimizes performance, and captures and reuses energy, noted the company. The machine delivers an estimated fuel savings of up to 20 percent compared with its standard 336 counterpart with no compromise in performance and no added maintenance costs.

CASE Launches Five New Excavators

75 CASE 150CASE Construction Equipment introduced five new crawler excavators to the construction trade press at a special event at its Tomahawk, Wis., test facility: CX210D, CX250D, CX250D Long Reach (LR), CX300D and CX350D. These new models are designed to provide significant operational gains, including cycle times up to 12 percent faster, improved responsiveness and multifunctional control, and up to 14 percent greater fuel efficiency. Productivity testing during research and development showed that certain models in the D Series could fill more than 9,500 additional trucks per year based on cycle time increases alone.
