Numa offers a wide range of Down-The-Hole (DTH) rock drilling hammers and bits. With more than 110 DTH products, Numa’s drilling technology is capable of drilling vertical, horizontal, and reverse circulation holes from 3½- to 50½ in. (89 to 1283 mm) in diameter in hard rock and unconsolidated formations.

BlastMetriX UAV Improves Blast Design and Analysis

The new BlastMetriX UAV program from 3GSM GmbH allows quarries and mining operations to take advantage of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology to quickly, safely an accurately capture three-dimensional face profiles for enhanced visualization of the blast area. The flexible system is the right tool for surveying large blast sites and does not require the use of propriety UAVs. This allows operations to use existing drones in their fleet or locally source drone equipment to take surveying images.

Atlas Copco Targets Zero-Emission Underground Drilling

“Our customers’ future is electric,” said Andreas Nordbrandt, president of Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation Division, based in Örebro, Sweden. Development will now be focused on zero-emission and battery-driven machinery. The company has immediate plans to expand its current portfolio of electric mining equipment including loaders, drill rigs and mine trucks.
