Eriez Reports Records for Orders, Shipments |

 February 3, 2012 – Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez President and CEO, said that the company’s Erie, Pa., headquarters facility closed 2011 with more than $100 million (USD) in orders while Eriez-Japan, the company’s affiliate in Japan, finished the year with more than $1 billion Yen (JPY) or $12 million (USD) in shipments. “It’s been a banner year for Eriez across the globe,” said Shuttleworth.

 December 28, 2011 – Atlas Copco AB has agreed to acquire the underground business of GIA Industri AB from Vätterledens Verkstad AB. With the acquisition, Atlas Copco broadens its offering with products including electric mine trucks, utility vehicles and ventilation systems. “This is an important acquisition for the U.S. market,” noted Ed Tanner, Atlas Copco’s business line manager for underground rock excavation equipment in the United States. “We’re going to be able to support a greater portion of our existing customers’ operations, as well as be able to enter new markets.”

 November 22, 2011 – Bridgestone Americas Commercial Solutions (BACS), a business of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, announced that effective Jan. 1, 2012, it will increase base prices on Bridgestone, Firestone and Continuum off-road tire products and Continuum pre-cure tread rubber and related retreading materials by 15 percent in the United States and 10 percent in Canada.
