Editor, Rock Products and Cement Americas
Mark S. Kuhar, editor of Rock Products, Cement Americas and Frac Sand Insider, began his editorial career in 1987 as an assistant editor on Pit & Quarry and Concrete magazines. After leaving construction journalism from 1990-1995, he returned in 1996 as editor-in-chief of Pit & Quarry. In his more than 10 years at the helm, Mark developed a number of ancillary media products, such as the Market Reference Guide, Equipment & Technology Handbook, and the Cement and Ready Mix Resource Guide; as well as Mining Equipment and Technology and Portable Plants & Equipment magazines. He helped usher the magazine into the digital age by overseeing the development of the magazine's first website, e-newsletter, online buyers guide and podcast, as well as Pit & Quarry University, an industry education resource.
Since taking over the helm of Rock Products after its acquisition by Mining Media International, he has continued to develop new products to serve the aggregates industry, including the Crushing & Breaking Spec Guide, Frac Sand Insider e-newsletter, Frac Sand Insider Conference and Expo, and the Rock Products Latin American Aggregates Seminar at ConExpo Latin America.
Mining Media International, through Rock Products and Quarry Equipment Marketplace (QEM) magazines; and its suite of frac sand products, is the market share-leading publisher of print advertising and editorial content for the aggregates industry.
