August 10 – Erie, Pa.,-based Eriez announced that the company will move its 5-Star Service Center to its newly-purchased 114,00 sq. ft. building in Erie, which is approximately 15 miles from its World Headquarters facility. “By relocating our 5-Star Service Center from a rented facility in Lake City, Pa., to our new building, we can streamline operations and improve efficiency,” said Jim Lasko, Eriez 5-Star Service Center manager.“The goal of the 5-Star Service Center is to quickly get customers’ magnetic, vibratory and inspection processing equipment back in operation and functioning at peak performance. With the move to our new, larger facility, we believe we can offer even speedier service.”
Eriez introduced its 5-Star Service in 2009 and, according to Eriez, it has been tremendously successful. “Whether it’s an emergency system service call or a complete rebuild of a suspended magnet, customers turn to Eriez’ 5-Star Service to quickly get back in operation at original equipment standards,” said Lasko.
The 5-Star Service Center is completely equipped to remanufacture even the most complex systems. The fully staffed service center employs trained technicians, and the machining, fabricating and welding capabilities necessary to rebuild all Eriez equipment as well as some competitive units. Once remanufactured, all Eriez equipment leaves the service center with an “as new” warranty.
According to Eriez, the company is experiencing significant growth in all areas, making the purchase of additional space a necessity. “Eriez is thriving and setting new records for orders and sales,” said Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez president and CEO. “The added manufacturing space afforded by our new building will help ensure we can meet our customers’ growing demands. So far in 2011 Eriez Headquarters has added more than 30 new employees. A number of these new employees will be moving to our new space.”
