July 18, 2011 - The Raptor XL300 Cone Crusher from FLSmidth, is a high-performing, cost-effective solution for aggregate operations in need of a versatile crusher that can produce quality stone for such end uses as asphalt chips, road base and railroad ballast, as well as for construction-related uses like foundations and concrete, according to the company.
The design profile of this machine offers maximum productivity and size reduction versatility < not only for stationary applications, but also for wheel-mounted portable crushing plants. This compact unit has a physical height and mass that allow for many options in the design of multi-functional, street-legal portable plants. All XL300 Cone Crushers feature one-piece cast steel mainframe, with a forged steel main shaft.
The Raptor XL300 Cone Crusher features a high pivot point and large crushing stroke that offers better crushing action throughout the crushing chamber than many competitive models. An active feed opening creates a desirable end product shape for high production of salable material. With a large head diameter in its size class < 43 in. (1.1 m) < the XL300 Cone can accept feed that is up to 25 percent larger than can be accepted by a crusher with less throw or similar head diameter.
