Deere, Topcon Create Alliance

JD__TopconFebruary 28, 2012 – Deere & Co.’s Worldwide Construction & Forestry division announced a strategic alliance with Topcon Positioning Systems, a manufacturer of positioning products and solutions for the global surveying, construction, civil engineering and mobile control markets. The alliance allows John Deere to sell, support, and factory-install Topcon’s 3D-MC2 grade control solutions on John Deere dozers and motor graders.

Eriez Reports Records for Orders, Shipments

eriezorangelogo151-1February 3, 2012 – Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez President and CEO, said that the company’s Erie, Pa., headquarters facility closed 2011 with more than $100 million (USD) in orders while Eriez-Japan, the company’s affiliate in Japan, finished the year with more than $1 billion Yen (JPY) or $12 million (USD) in shipments. “It’s been a banner year for Eriez across the globe,” said Shuttleworth.

Haver & Boecker, W.S. Tyler And Major Wire Form Screening Alliance

Atlas Copco to acquire GIA

AtlasCopco_LogoWhiteBlueDecember 28, 2011 – Atlas Copco AB has agreed to acquire the underground business of GIA Industri AB from Vätterledens Verkstad AB. With the acquisition, Atlas Copco broadens its offering with products including electric mine trucks, utility vehicles and ventilation systems. “This is an important acquisition for the U.S. market,” noted Ed Tanner, Atlas Copco’s business line manager for underground rock excavation equipment in the United States. “We’re going to be able to support a greater portion of our existing customers’ operations, as well as be able to enter new markets.”
